Karin and Amelie play a romantic, gothic medieval music: keyboards, heavy percussions, beautiful ethereal vocals accompanied by violin, played by Franck Dematteis who already worked for Attrition and Die Form. 'Chuchotements' is a travel through a world of spells. Powerful rhythms, bewitching melodies between Ataraxia, Rosa Crux, XVIIÊVie and Hyperium's Heavenly Voices Acts!!! : Fluxeuropa "Over 1000 people came to the concert given by Les Secrets de Morphée with Faith & The Muse in Paris at La locomotive on 5 April 2000. This is a high-quality live-sound recording from the event featuring five new versions of previous tracks and five unreleased ones. Karin and Amélie combine ethereal voice and neoclassical music with more modern elements to produce an extremely lush, filmic sound. Vocals on 'Reflets d'Enulid' are especially reminiscent of Ataraxia, and like some of Ataraxia's work, LSdM sometimes put you in mind of an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. A Goth edge, however, rescues them from any danger of commercial blandness. The sound quality of this live recording is matched by a brilliant performance which must have been exciting to experience." Rik |
